The Reverse Bucket List

Screen Shot 2014-07-09 at 5.28.51 PMI’ve been asked some pretty strange questions throughout the interviewing process these past couple of months. I mean, really strange. Take for example this little number: “If you, a bear, and an alligator were in a fight, who would win and why?” Questions like these are fun, non-traditional, and really force you to think quickly on your feet. One universal element to each of these interviews, though, has been the “What are some items on your bucket list?” question. While I do have a bucket list, it’s one that changes every day, either shrinking because I’ve checked something off, or growing because I’ve learned about a cool new opportunity.

I think it’s important to focus on your dreams as motivation, and I know that’s what interviewers are looking to get at, but I think it’s also important to spend some time reflecting on what we’ve accomplished thus far. I’m pretty confident I can speak for all of you when I say that as twenty somethings, we’ve already done A LOT. Consider this an exercise of gratitude.

Here are five things on my Reverse Bucket List. Share yours!
